STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Local politicians voiced their support this week for a community’s efforts to have a sidewalk installed on a busy street.
On Tuesday, Councilwoman Debi Rose (D-North Shore) said she’d been in contact with Staten Island’s city Department of Transportation (DOT) Borough Commissioner Roseann Caruana. The city DOT handles sidewalk maintenance in the five boroughs.
