Ann Hamilton to Present Signature Lecture on April 16 The College of Arts & Letters is pleased to host National Medal of the Arts recipient, MacArthur Genius, and internationally acclaimed artist Ann Hamilton as part of the College’s Signature Lecture Series. The event, to be held virtually Friday, April 16, at 5 p.m., is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, please complete the registration form.  Ann Hamilton Recognized for her large-scale multimedia installations, public projects, and performance collaborations, Hamilton is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University. February 05, 2021 As Congress pushes stimulus bill forward, transit agencies continue to plead for financial help Written by Bill Wilson, Editor-in-Chief Transit agencies may have to delay or cut rail construction projects if more stimulus aid is not approved by Congress. LIRR New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Chairman and CEO Patrick Foye assembled a coalition of 22 transit agencies from across the country who sent a letter urgently calling on Congress to deliver $39.3 billion in federal relief for mass transit in the next coronavirus relief bill. The coalition called on congressional leaders to provide needed federal aid to address devastating COVID-related deficits and prevent deep service cuts, thousands of employee layoffs and decimating capital improvement projects as well as the hundreds of thousands of well-paying jobs that would be created along with an infusion of capital spending.
