She was a 2001 graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. She attended Alfred State majoring in architecture, graduating in 2003, according to her obituary. She continued her education at New York Institute of Technology, receiving a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design. She worked for The C & S Companies for 14 years and was a life member of Cicero United Methodist Church.

NYITCOM at A-State Class of 2024 Celebrates Virtual White Coat Ceremony

/ JONESBORO, AR – New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University’s Class of 2024 celebrated a rite of passage on their medical school journey Monday evening as NYITCOM at A-State held a virtual White Coat Ceremony to formally recognize a milestone event for its 124 first-year student doctors. Medical students are typically coated at the start of the fall semester with large, in-person gatherings, but this year’s events were held virtually due to the pandemic. However, each member of the Class of 2024 was still recognized for taking the critical first step in their medical education. The ceremony featured a slideshow with the future physicians pictured in their white coat.

Scientists are still learning about how mammalian evolution progressed there. Reporting in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, researchers have now described a strange mammal that lived during the time of the dinosaurs about 66 million years ago. The study is based on a nearly complete skeleton that has been preserved as well or better than any ever found in the southern hemisphere from before the dinosaurs went extinct. This animal is called Adalatherium, from the Malagasy and Greek languages for crazy beast, and it s a large relative of the typically mouse-sized mammals that lived in the Cretaceous period about 145 - 66 million years ago.
