Under the Stop Social Media Censorship Act which experts have already pointed out is likely unenforceable, given that it violates Section 230 Communications Decency Act and, arguably, the First Amendment social media sites will be fined $250,000 for every day more than two weeks that a statewide political candidate is banned. The fine is $25,000 per day for sites banning candidates running for other positions. Image Source: IANS News Stockholm, May 19 : A new initiative aimed at building more climate literate business leaders is being piloted in early June by the Climate Reality Project and the social climate media organisation We Don t Have Time. The initiative, which is initially aimed at board members in Europe and the US, could be a regional blueprint for a global effort if the training proves successful. The decision to launch the scheme, which begins with a pilot course in Swedish and then in English for a total of up to 100 board members, follows recent, in-depth research by New York University s Stern Center for Sustainable Business.

Covid-19 was cited as the biggest barrier to sustainability-related action from banks Commissioned by consultancy Mobiquity, the survey polled C-suite employees at banks across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, asking about their sustainability approaches and the role of digital technologies in meeting key green targets. (Fabrice Coffrini/AFP via Getty Images) Former Vice President Al Gore has signed on with a new effort to educate corporate board members on the urgency of the climate crisis.  Gore’s organization the Climate Reality Project is partnering with WeDontHaveTime.org in training hundreds of corporate board members in Europe and the U.S. to become more climate literate, according to a press release.  Gore is also planning to lead similar training sessions in Latin America.
