Former Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died on Wednesday, the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office in Virginia announced. He was 28 years old.
Deputies responded to a call Wednesday afternoon about someone needing medical attention. Taliaferro was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away. The sheriff s office did not disclose a cause of death.
On Thursday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh released a statement on Taliaferro s death. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro. Lorenzo was a kind, smart, respectful and determined young man someone always committed to his teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lorenzo s family. May he rest in peace, the statement read.

YORK Co., Va. - Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro has died, the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office announced Wednesday night. He was 28.
Around 3:07 p.m., deputies were called to the 100 block of Windsor Lane for a report of someone needing medical attention. Medics arrived on scene and took the patient, identified as Taliaferro, to a local hospital, where he later died.
The sheriff s office says they cannot release any medical information about Taliaferro s death.

A former NFL running back died of a heart attack at 28 years old on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
Lorenzo Taliaferro, a former running back for the Baltimore Ravens, died in his hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia on Wednesday.
The former Ravens running back was transported to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, where he was pronounced dead.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, who ran for 339 yards and scored five touchdowns during three injury-riddled seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, has died. He was 28.

Taliaferro passed away Wednesday in Williamsburg, Va., according to York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office. The cause of death was not immediately made public.
Drafted by Baltimore out of Coastal Carolina in the fourth round of the 2014 draft, Taliaferro ran for 292 yards and four touchdowns over 13 games as a rookie before an injury ended his season. He played in three games apiece in 2015 and 2016 before again finishing on injured reserve each season.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A former Coastal Carolina football great has died, according to authorities.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office in Virginia announced Wednesday night that Lorenzo Taliaferro died earlier in the day. Officials said deputies were dispatched to a home at around 3 p.m. where someone, later identified as Taliaferro, needed medical attention.
Deputies said he passed away at the hospital. Taliaferro was 28 years old.
