The Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities has announced its schedule for planned road and bridge work this year.
Work includes bridge/culvert replacements and rehabilitation, drainage projects, general maintenance, surface treating projects, and paving. Funding comes from a variety of sources, including the New York State Consolidated Highway Improvement Program, PAVE-NY, the Federal government and Chautauqua County.
“This will be a busy construction season as projects that were deferred from last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic are being scheduled in addition to the required projects this year,” said Brad Bentley, public facilities director. “With the additional funding that is expected from the New York State budget, the department is prepared to complete additional road and bridge projects as we progress through the construction plans this year.
