YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Sheriff s Office (YCSO) announced Saturday evening that their Foothills Substation collected approximately 268 pounds of prescription medications as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration s National Prescription Take Back campaign.

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Governor Doug Ducey visited Yuma this week following a tour of the U.S./Mexico border. His visit comes one day after he issued a Declaration of Emergency for Arizona s southern border.
The declaration deploys 250 Arizona National Guard troops, as well as state troopers, to assist U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) and local law enforcement in keeping border communities safe.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Friday morning at approximately 6:32, the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force (YCNTF) served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of S. Avenue A.

The YCNTF is a multi-agency task force comprised of officers and agents from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), Yuma Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations.
Authorities discovered about 2.18 pounds of packaged methamphetamines at the residence, with an estimated street value of $19,606.
