(CNSNews.com) – Israel and Kosovo on Monday signed an agreement formalizing full diplomatic relations, the outcome of a Trump administration-brokered deal that will see the small Balkan nation become the first majority-Muslim country to establish its embassy in Jerusalem.
The Biden administration evidently supports the inherited agreement. A senior State Department official, Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew Palmer of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, took part in the ceremony – held virtually, due to coronavirus travel restrictions – and department spokesman Ned Price called it “a historic day.”
