Geneva – The Israeli forces last
night destroyed full residential areas in the northern Gaza
Strip, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said. The
international community must intervene and ensure that
Israel obliges to stop its attack, which challenges the
rules of international humanitarian law.
The Israeli
Air Force, early on Friday, launched about 450 missiles on
the Gaza Strip. Most of these missiles were concentrated in

Gaza City – When Mohammad Saad heard that an Israeli air strike had killed his cousin Reema Saad, he says the news hit the family “like a lightning bolt”.
Reema, 31, her husband Mohammed Telbani, 29, and their two children were in their apartment in Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood in the early hours of Wednesday when an air strike hit the residential building, destroying their apartment.
Reema, who was four months pregnant, and five-year-old Zeid died immediately, and Mohammed later died in the intensive care unit, but the body of their daughter, three-year-old Maryam, has yet to be recovered from the site of the attack. Saad said the family did not receive any warning before the air raid.

Geneva – Israel s escalation of
violence and widespread bombardment, including civilian
objects without respecting the principle of proportionality,
in the Gaza Strip is utterly appalling, the
Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said today in a
statement.
Since the Israeli Army has launched
military operation Op Guardians of Walls , concerns are
rising that Israel intends to continue its attack and
escalate and expand its targeting range, according to the
Israeli Chief of the General Staff s recommendations General
Aviv Kochavi.
