Apr. 24 A Woodland man was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for the killing of a family friend in 2019, according to the Yolo County District Attorney's Office. In a news release, the District Attorney's Office said Stefon Ceaser, 32, was given 17 years prison time after pleading no contest to a voluntary manslaughter charge in March. Anthony Bosser, 23, was shot and killed on March 15, 2019. .

GALT, Calif. A Galt man was sentenced to prison after being convicted of insurance fraud related to a 2018 car crash in Yolo County.
Lovepreet Randhawa and his wife, Parwinder, have also been ordered to pay $40,000 in restitution, the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office said.
The incident happened in February 2018 when California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to a crash on Interstate 80. In that crash, the DA’s office said Lovepreet was driving and at fault for the crash but gave officers a fake name.

A man shot and killed by West Sacramento police officers last week is now being identified.
Twenty-four-year-old Adam John Lundt was reported last Thursday to have a knife near the Walmart in Riverpoint Court. When authorities arrived on scene, Lundt was shot-and-killed by officers when he got out of his vehicle. It s still unknown if Lundt was confirmed to have a knife at the time. The incident is being independently investigated by the Woodland Police Department and the Yolo County District Attorney s Office.

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. The man charged for a deadly DUI crash in West Sacramento that left two children orphaned appeared in court for the first time on Friday.
Gabriel Poletti, 27, was crying and visibly shaken as he appeared before a judge via Zoom for his arraignment.
Poletti is facing a slew of charges from the Feb. 15 head-on crash at Jefferson Boulevard that resulted in the deaths of Rasul Afzili, 37, and his wife Anila Afzili, 29. The Afzili’s two children, both under the age of five, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Family members for the Afzili’s also attended the Zoom arraignment.
