TRENTON â He s hoping to bridge the disconnect.
Wesley Bridges must rely on his roots and relationships in Trenton if he is to restore peace in the capital city. He is being tapped as acting law director, pending state approval, to replace the deposed John Morelli.
Bridges, a local talent and founder of the Trenton-based Bridges Law Group, has developed a reputation over more than a decade in practice as a bulldog litigator.

He told
The Trentonian in a phone interview Friday that he hopes to become a trusted advisor to council and the administration, knowing he s stepping into a political snake pit.
The trend may be more prevalent in those who already own firearms, the researchers report.
The study in the
Journal of Psychiatric Research shows that people intending to acquire a firearm in the next 12 months have less tolerance for uncertainty, have exaggerated threat expectancies, and are experiencing more severe COVID-19 specific fears.
“…the 2020 purchasing surge seems to be prompted by a sense that times are stressful and the world is unsafe.”
They also were more likely to have experienced suicidal ideation in the past year, to have worked in law enforcement, and to have worked at jobs considered essential during COVID-19.

SCA Appraisal, a national independent appraisal service, has promoted Nick Napier to vice president of operations and Mark Bewley to assistant vice president of field operations.
Napier is responsible for SCA’s field appraisal operations and product delivery nationally across insurance carriers, third-party administrators, financial services, municipalities and all other clients, the Burbank, Calif.-based company said in a press release.
Napier first became involved with SCA in 2003 as part of the company’s vendor network. Three years later, he joined SCA as an employee. He has been responsible for appraisal quality, audit and franchise operations during his tenure.
YEADON â A Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Naval Asylum Plot on the Yeadon, Delaware County, side of Mount Moriah Cemetery, along Cobbs Creek Parkway. The wreaths will be placed at 10 a.m. and the ceremony starts promptly at noon in conjunction with all WAA events across the country and will happen rain, snow, or shine. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place, the ceremony will be limited to a small group of people.
