.Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected across
Middle Tennessee from mid morning hours on Saturday through at
least Sunday morning. This will bring an additional 1 to 3 inches
.with locally higher amounts ranging from 4 to 5 inches.of
rainfall to already saturated ground conditions. Runoff impacts
could last through afternoon hours on Sunday.

Despite the encouragement from colleagues, Meghan Vigil was not sure she would have an opportunity to attend a virtual business meeting being held during an annual conference hosted by the Tennessee Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Eventually the encouragement became all the more direct.
Vigil, a ninth-year teacher of English as a second language at Smyrna Middle School, was told she really needed to listen in.
The Rutherford County Schools have sent messages to parents advising them of the plan for Monday, January 11, 2021. Schools spokesperson James Evans stated.(Audio available on WGNSradio.com)All Rutherford County School students who attend school in-person will resume school on Monday, Jan. 11. Distance-learning students may continue doing so and any family who wishes to switch their children to distance-learning may still take that option by notifying their school.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) â Rutherford County students will begin the second semester with in-person learning Mon., Jan. 11. Distance-learning students may continue doing so and any family who wishes to switch their children to distance-learning may still take that option by notifying their school.
School board members discussed how students would return for their second semester in Tues. night s meeting.
Director of Schools Bill Spurlock submitted a plan to the board to adopt a hybrid calendar for the first four weeks of the second semester - Jan. 11 through Feb. 5. The proposal recommended students attend school in-person every other day based on their last name.
