Cheshire: Drug dealer caught with 43 wraps of cocaine and heroin is jailed at Chester Crown Court

Peter Wharton pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply the class A drugs. The 42-year-old was jailed for four years at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, January 6. Wharton was brought to justice as a result of a member of the public reporting suspected drug dealing activity in woodland adjacent to Humphreys Close in Murdishaw, Runcorn. An officer who attended the area on the morning of Tuesday, July 14, 2020, subsequently saw Wharton talking to another man. Wharton matched the description of a suspected drug dealer provided by the member of the public. As the officer approached Wharton and the man he was talking to, they walked to a parked car and got inside.

A DRUG dealer from Runcorn has been jailed after officers found around £10,000 worth of cocaine at a flat in the town centre. Ricky Hope was the only person in the flat in Cooper Street when it was raided by officers on the morning of Wednesday, October 14. The flat contained a substantial quantity of cocaine and two hydraulic presses used to make the class A drug appear pure or uncut. Most of the cocaine, which had to be extracted from a safe by firefighters using specialist cutting equipment, had been packaged into individual street deals. The officers seized the drugs and the hydraulic presses, as well as digital scales, mixing bowls, spoons and a blender containing cocaine.
