The Carlsbad City Council will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday to give final approval to a request for tax relief for Taylor Made Golf Company and Callaway Golf Company. The council will also discuss ways to form an independent redistricting commission. An amendment will be considered to reconfigure Open Space zoning boundaries on the West Oaks property to accommodate emergency access and preserve habitat areas southwest of Palomar Airport Road and Palomar Oaks Way. The Carlsbad City Council met in closed session Tuesday to discuss litigation and property negotiations. In open session, the council approved authorizing staff to work with Brookfield Properties, NRG Energy, and San Diego Gas & Electric to relocate the SDG&E North Coast Service Center from Carlsbad Boulevard and Cannon Road to the city-owned parking lot at The Shoppes at Carlsbad.
