German Hospital s Final Statement Says Navalny Poisoned With Novichok Nerve Agent

The German hospital that treated Aleksei Navalny has posted its final statement on the case of the Russian dissident s acute illness, saying he was poisoned with the chemical nerve agent Novichok.
Navalny became violently ill while on a domestic flight in Russia on August 20 and was initially treated at a hospital in the Siberian city of Omsk for two days before being flown to Germany for emergency treatment.
In an
article published in The Lancet medical journal on December 23, doctors at Berlin s Charite hospital detailed symptoms observed as Navalny was admitted into their care.

The research group Bellingcat revealed details Monday of a 45-minute phone call between Navalny, who posed as an agent for Russia s National Security Council, and the alleged Kremlin agent, Konstantin Kudryavtsev. Navalny coaxed details of the attack from Kudryavtsev, who said the nerve agent Novichok was applied to the politician s underwear.
Kudryavtsev was one of the agents who was part of an elite team dispatched to poison and ultimately assassinate Navalny while he visited the Russian city of Tomsk in August, according to a joint investigation by the research group Bellingcat,

Moscow, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Dec, 2020 ) :Russia s Federal Security Service (FSB) on Monday said Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny s phone call with a suspected FSB agent discussing his poisoning was a provocation carried out with help from foreign security services.
In a statement to Russiannews agencies, the FSB described the call about the alleged actions against Navalny as a planned provocation aimed at discrediting the FSB , adding that the phone conversation would not have been possible without the support of foreign special services .
It added that a video of Navalny conducting the conversation was fake.
