Feddersen Family Purchases Sandage Feeds Feddersen Family Purchases Sandage Feeds Wednesday, 07 April 2021 15:25 By Scott Bidroski After 38 years of ownership under Gordon resident Diane Sandage, Sandage Feeds will make the transition to a new chapter. As of March 1, the Feddersen family from Rushville has purchased the feed business from Sandage. A new name is coming soon, once all the legal hoops have been jumped through. The Feddersen’s ranch near Rushville along with being partners in an AI Business with Judd Hoos. So cattle is not only a business to them, it’s a way of life. “I had been buying feed from and working with Diane for a while. When she asked if I would want to take over, it made a lot of sense seeing how they all worked together,” said Court.

Gene Snyder

Gene Snyder Woodallen Gene Snyder was born on May 22, 1944 in Gordon, Nebraska, the second of three children of Woodrow L. and Charlyn G. Watson Snyder. He died February 12, 2021 at the age of 76 years in the Cheyenne, Wyoming hospital. He grew up on a ranch south of Rushville, NE on Pine Creek. He attended elementary school grades 1-8 at District 98, known as the Mill School. Gene graduated from Rushville High School in 1962. He played football in high school and college. He attended Chadron State College for 3 years and then received his Doctor of Dentistry degree in 1969 from the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City, MO. He met the love of his life, Carol Sue Ward, while in dental school and they were married on August 19, 1967 in Burlington, KS. Three children were born to this union, Brian Gene, Kevin Dean and Angela Lynn.  

George Addie

George Addie George Layton Addie (86), retired Administrative Officer, US Public Health Service, passed away November 13, 2020.  He was born March 31, 1934 in Rushville, Nebraska and was the only child of Clara Layton and George Addie. His early years were spent on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.  He graduated Rushville High School in 1952, and attended Chadron State College in Nebraska.  He married Lila Higgs and together they had four children.  The family moved to Arizona in 1963.  The couple later divorced.  He married Kathleen Yogerst in 1975. His first Federal employment was as a Summer Survey Aid.  He secured permanent Federal employment with the Department of Army in Sidney, Nebraska.  He would later work for the Departments of Navy and Air Force, and the Bureau of Reclamation.  His time with the Navy was spent at the Litchfield Navy Base in Litchfield, Arizona.  When the Navy base closed, he joined the U. Julie A Gall

Julie was born October 28, 1949, in Rushville, Nebraska to Dexter and Alice (Galbraith) Winter. She graduated from Rushville High School and went on to attend the Lincoln School of Commerce.  On July 11, 1970, she married Joseph A. Gall in Lincoln. They made their home in Schuyler where Julie worked at the Schuyler State Bank until their children were born. She then became a loving daycare provider for many area children, many with whom she still is in contact with to this day. She had her Shaklee business for over 25 years. Her special undivided love was her family,, especially her children, parents and siblings. She was always there to offer a helping hand or words of encouragement. She gained strength from her love of family and God. She was the rock her children leaned on for encouragement and moral support to achieve anything they wanted to do in life.
