Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the assassination of his father and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1991 caused him tremendous pain but he did not have any hatred or anger towards the murderers.
Addressing a crowd of students in Puducherry, Gandhi said, I don t have anger or hatred towards anybody. Of course, I lost my father and for me it was a very difficult time , adding that the killing was as painful as having one s heart severed.
During the interaction at Bharathidasan Government College for Women in Puducherry, a student asked, Your father was killed by the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam). What are your feelings about these people?

Puducherry: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Puducherry on Wednesday to hold a dialogue with the fishermen community, interact with students at a college and hold a public meeting later. His visit comes as Assembly elections in the Union Territory are slated to be held later this year.
Gandhi will address fishermen in neighbouring Solai Nagar in Muthialpet Assembly constituency and later interact with students of the Bharathidasan Government College for women.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that the killing of his father former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi brought him pain but he has no anger towards the people responsible, reported the
Hindustan Times.
“I don’t have anger towards anybody,” the Congress leader said at an event at the Bharathidasan College for Women in Puducherry. “Of course, I lost my father and for me it was a difficult time. It’s like someone has cut your heart out. I felt tremendous pain. But I don’t feel angry. I don’t feel any hatred. I forgive.”
