ROCKFORD Donte Calloway sprinted to the playground at The Grove at Keith Creek Saturday afternoon and was soon down on all fours digging up egg after egg beneath the thick brown mulch.
“I got another one,” Calloway, 9, shouted to no one in particular before stashing a prized golden egg into a paper sack.
“You’re getting down and dirty, bro,” observed a middle school-aged boy who said his egg hunting days are behind him.
The Easter egg hunt at The Grove at Keith Creek, 690 S. New Towne Dr., attracted about 20 children, including a few scattered toddlers.
Bright sunshine and 70-degree temperatures added to the festivities.
