Melvin Gaddis Green Jr. HAMPTON Dr. Melvin Gaddis Green Jr., 72, took wings and left this place to seek peace and joy in the arms of God Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Greenville, South Carolina. Melvin was the son of Melvin Sr. and Alice Helen Green. His parents; brother, Charles; and niece preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Helen Green of Hampton; daughters, Jennifer Green of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly Green of Atlanta, Georgia, Anika Baker of Charlotte, North Carlina, and Schaan Baker of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Amaya, Kendall, Kennedy, Gabriel and Kayde; sister, Minnie Alice Green of Virginia Beach; and special caregiver, Lillian Greene, to everything we owe for all her love, support and comfort.
