Four teens charged after The Range burglary

Premium Content Subscriber only Rockhampton police charged four teens on Tuesday after the alleged break-in of a house at The Range. Neighbours of a Kennedy Street home allegedly saw boys committing an offence on Monday and phoned police. The boys fled on foot and after an extensive chase, one was located near the scene and the others near Rockhampton Airport. Investigations resulted in four teens being charged with several offences across the Capricornia District. Three of the boys were charged, denied police bail, and were held in custody before appearing in Rockhampton Children’s Court on Tuesday morning. The fourth teen was also charged and is due to appear in Rockhampton Children’s Court later this month.

Three teens charged over alleged robbery at Stockland

Premium Content Three young people were arrested and charged with robbery by Rockhampton police on Thursday. Police were called to Stockland Shopping Centre in relation to the alleged robbery of two youths. The alleged offenders were said to have surrounded and intimidated the victims, demanding their necklaces and sunglasses. One boy was reported to have snatched the sunglasses off the head of one of the victims and then fled the scene with the other alleged offenders. Police arrived at the shopping centre a short time later and found the suspects with the help of centre staff. A 15-year-old boy from Kawana, a 15-year-old boy from Koongal, and a 17-year-old girl from Yeppoon are scheduled to appear in Rockhampton Children’s Court in February.

Juveniles arrested after CQ crime spree

Premium Content Subscriber only Five juveniles have been arrested following a crime spree across Central Queensland where they allegedly broke into properties, stole cars and causing damage. The boys allegedly broke into many properties from Westwood to Yeppoon using stolen 4WD vehicles including a Dodge Ram, Landcruisers and a BT50. Between January 5 and January 6, police located the offenders at Woorabinda and Rockhampton. A 14-year-old Woorabinda boy was charged with one count of burglary and commit indictable offence, two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of enter dwelling with intent, five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of wilful damage.
