A Capricorn Coast businessman has been jailed for indecent treatment of his daughterâs 10-year-old friend while she was sleeping over and watching scary movies.
Judge Jeff Clarke said a concerning factor was the defendant, 54, told the victim âyou are hotâ.
âWhat happened here was, perhaps, every parentsâ nightmare,â he said.
The defendant first touched the childâs thigh, then slipped his hand under her shirt and touched her stomach before saying âyou are hotâ and then moving his hand up to touch the childâs breasts.
He then asked the child if he could kiss her breasts, to which she responded no and he stopped touching her.
