Balakrishnan condemned the police action against those who protested across the State on Monday before the District Collectorate backing the farmers in Delhi. In a statement, he alleged that police had attacked farmers and women who participated in the protest and arrested them. In Dindigul, former MLA K. Balabharathi and others were attacked and kept in a marriage hall, Mr. Balakrishnan alleged. He also warned that people will teach an apt lesson to the Edappadi Palaniswami-led government “which is treating farmers like anti-social elements through police action”.
