A DETERMINED son has pledged to do a Himalayan trek in a bid to raise cash for charity after his dad was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) last year. Summerston man, Scott Davidson will be taking off to Nepal next September to take part in the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity after receiving the devastating news of his dad’s diagnosis in September. Scott said: “My dad was diagnosed last year. The whole of 2020 he was doing tests. He developed a respiratory condition and then we found out he had a paralysed diaphragm.
