The survey for Queen’s University Belfast also finds that opinion is very evenly divided as to support or opposition for the North’s special EU trade status under the protocol. But two out of three people in the North think that some kind of special Brexit arrangements are needed for Northern Ireland. And, in keeping with the 2016 Brexit referendum result in the North, almost six out of 10 people still do not support the principle of the UK leaving the EU.
