CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated in a child exploitation investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Tuscarawas County man.
According to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, Chad Robert Ryan was arrested on Saturday after he arrived to a location thinking that he arranged to pay $1,000 in exchange for sex with a woman and her 14-year-old daughter.
The 44-year-old man was charged with compelling prostitution, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and possessing criminal tools; all felony crimes.

Stuart Duncan, 93, died peacefully at his home on April 30th, 2021. Born in 1927 in New York City, he began his schooling at St. Bernards and Trinity. At age 14, he moved to Ridgefield, Ct and finished his preparatory education at Wooster School in Danbury. As so many did during that time, he deferred his admittance to Princeton University to serve in the US Navy during WWII, returning to his education in 1946.
When he graduated in 1950, he had already embarked on three associations that would last him his lifetime. He had begun ushering at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton, a relationship that would endure for 70 years; he had developed a bond with his university that led to decades of happy service as a Marshall at the P-Rade, culminating in his years as Grand Marshall . OHIO A Dover man suspected of trying to pay a woman and her underage daughter for sex was arrested Saturday in Columbiana County, according to authorities.
The man, 44-year-old Chad Robert Ryan, was arrested after an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force found he intended to pay the woman and minor for sex, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a news release.
He was charged with compelling prostitution, a third degree felony; attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth degree felony; and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony.

Despite public pressure, some orders still resist telling the full truth about sexual abuse allegations, as the Sun-Times’ Robert Herguth has reported.
A clerical sex abuse scandal has rocked the Catholic Church for decades now, and to our way of thinking, full disclosure is the only way for the church to put the scandal completely to rest.
Every independent religious order must follow the lead of the rest of the Church and come clean about abusive priests in their ranks.
A number of those independent orders among them the Jesuits and Carmelites have made the only correct moral and ethical choice. They now publicly disclose the names of clergy who have been credibly accused of abusing minors.
