The County Reads debate will be Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m. By the time you’re reading this, there may still be time to catch the live debate. If you missed the live event, you can find out whether Alexandra Seay, Sandra Barnes, Councillor John Hirsch, Kevin Scanlon or Anne Preston took the crown in the vote.

Last week, we told you about this year’s online version of the County Reads debate. That event will be followed by the annual Authors Festival, on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24. Register at peclibrary.org and you’ll receive the link to the events. If you have any technical questions call David at (613) 476-5962.
The Festival will be opened by Samra Zafar. Her book
, A Good Wife: Escaping The Life I Never Chose,is based on her journey of escaping an abusive child marriage to pursue her education and shed light on gender-based oppression. She will join us Friday, April 23 at 1 p.m. Elizabeth Etue will moderate this talk.
