HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ Nelson Chang s families, friends, neighbors, and loyal customers are still mourning the loss of their favorite ice cream man. The beloved owner of the Yardville Carvel ice cream shop was honored on Friday by Governor Phil Murphy during his weekly coronavirus briefing.
Murphy noted that Nelson and his wife, Leslie, came to the United States in 1978 from Taiwan with an American Dream to own his own business. The Changs moved to Hamilton 35 years ago. Nelson and Leslie were married for 43 years.

HAMILTON, NJ The Hamilton Township Police Division (HTPD) have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with a December hit-and-run accident that sent two pedestrians to the hospital with serious injuries. Following an investigation, Hamilton Police arrested Daquan picott, 31, Trenton, for assault by auto, knowingly leave the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and endangering an injured victim.
At approximately 9:12am on December 12, two individuals suffered serious injuries after being struck by a 2013 black Honda Civic four-door as they were standing on the southwest corner of Norway Avenue and East State Street .The two victims were transported to Capital Health at Fuld for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the accident.

ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. – Volunteers from Robbinsville and across Central New Jersey are coming together on Saturday to demonstrate support for the Kissan Farmer Protests in India by hosting a “Farmers Make, The World Takes” car parade rally. The movement is designed to show solidarity with farmers while bringing awareness to the issues affecting farmers in India.
For two months, thousands of farmers and Indian citizens have been gathering in large protests to oppose three anti-farmer laws that regulate the sales of certain food products.
To goal of the local rally is to show their support for farmers both domestically and internationally; explain their opposition of the farmer laws that were passed without consultation with farmers; and utilize their right to protest peacefully and how it is essential to democracy.

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ Robbinsville Township officials have announced the launch of Operation: Holiday Cheer to support the community s restaurant while giving to the local food bank that serves families in need. Small businesses, led by our restaurants, are our lifeblood here in Robbinsville - COVID or no COVID, Robbinsville Mayor Dave Fried said. Our restaurants still operating at 25 percent capacity is anything but ideal, but these are the constraints we are forced to work with right now, so let s maximize every tool we have to try to make this holiday a bit brighter for these establishments, which have given us so much during this pandemic.
