Arkansas Arts Academy has selected Richard Burrows as CEO, following a national executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). He began his tenure on September 14, 2020.
Mr. Burrows has worked at the local, state, national, and international levels for more than 40 years. His appointments include K-12 public education, post-secondary institutions, governmental service, agency executive leadership, and community development. He most recently served as Director of Community Outreach & Engagement with The Historic Trust in Vancouver, Washington, overseeing successful services to the public to promote diverse participation in the past, present, and future histories of the community. Work to build 330 new homes near Bury St Edmunds is due to begin imminently after developers were given the final planning approval.
Two parcels of land at Marham Park on the edge of Bury St Edmunds, will be developed with 330 homes - 251 private and 79 affordable properties, after developers Bellway Homes secured the final planning approval for design, layout and appearance by West Suffolk Council.
Outline permission was granted back in April 2020 for the 22.9 acre site when the development was being led by Countryside Properties Ltd. Bellway acquired the site after that and has confirmed it is keen to start work on site imminently.

Acton Police Chief Richard Burrows announced that the Acton Police Department has made progress in its investigation into a pair of incidents in which Acton-Boxborough School Committee members were targeted with racial epithets during public meetings.
Through its ongoing investigation, which began after the first incident on Dec. 17, Acton Police have identified a juvenile male in Arizona as a suspect. Acton Police are working with a local Arizona police department to continue the investigation.
The suspect allegedly also attempted to interrupt an Acton Board of Selectmen s meeting Monday, Jan. 11, but was prevented from doing so by town staff who were able to identify the suspicious behavior and stop multiple attempts by the suspect to be disruptive.
