LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Columbia man wanted for attempted and other charges after leading deputies on a chase through Lexington and Richland counties on Thursday.
According to LCSD, 29-year-old Devin Boineau was spotted by deputies driving a car reported as stolen. When deputies tried to pull Boineau over, he refused and the chase began on I-26.
Boineau made his way onto I-77 and crossed into Richland County, according to the sheriff’s office.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Armed law enforcement officials lined the outside of the South Carolina State House steps on Inauguration Day, in case of armed protests or violence that never came.
Less than 20 people with different reasons for showing up to the State House grounds gathered for a few hours to be heard Wednesday.
Some were there in support of former President Donald Trump, some came to speak out against all forms of government, others wanted to pray, and a few just wanted to see if anything was going on after hearing chatter about potential protests.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - As Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott took to his lectern on Monday, his facial expression immediately expressed concern.
In the last six weeks, Richland County has launched investigations for 11 murders. Of those, seven took place in what he called âDeadly Decemberâ while four have happened this month alone.
