Thursday, March 11, 2021 Patti Sapone | NJ Advance Media Facebook Share The number of school districts that are fully in-person has gone above 300 districts for the first time this school year, nearly matching the number of schools that were fully remote at the peak of the second wave. As of May 10, 416 school districts were hybrid, 13 were remote and 338 were fully in-person the seventh week in a row the number of in-person districts increased. Forty-four districts have different educational formats for different schools.

Evergreen Public Schools, the county’s largest school district, announced Friday it plans to welcome students in grades nine to 12 for twice-a-week in-person instruction as soon as March 4 as long as COVID-19 cases are at 200 or fewer per 100,000 population by Tuesday.

All after-school and evening activities, including sports practices and games, in-person learning support and grab-and-go meals also are canceled. Also, the Camas School District announced late Monday afternoon there would be no school Tuesday. Evergreen Public Schools announced all classes Tuesday will be held remotely because of lingering wintry conditions. The district will have no services at schools, including no meal services or bus transportation.
