The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is officially in production at the Nissan Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant. The first model of the revamped Pathfinder rolled off the assembly line at the Tennessee plant this week. Since 2004, the Pathfinder has been produced at the Smyrna plant.
“Start of production of the new Pathfinder marks another major milestone in our Nissan NEXT momentum story,” says Jeff Younginer, vice president, Nissan Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant. “The Smyrna plant team is thrilled to put the newest version of this iconic vehicle on the road for customers.”

Upgraded Kia Cerato arrives
More style, safety and equipment – and higher prices – for Korean brand’s best-seller
The facelifted 2021 Kia Cerato has arrived in Australia, bringing a fresh front-end design, more safety and tech features, higher prices across the board and – for the first time Down Under – the radical new Kia logo on its nose and tail.
In showrooms within days, the new-look Kia Cerato hatch and sedan replaces the Korean car-maker’s top-selling model and will once again be available in four variants – S, Sport and Sport+, with the new GT Turbo flagship to follow in mid-June.
No pricing has yet been announced for the top-shelf GT Turbo (pictured here in red) and once again pricing will be identical for the Cerato hatch and sedan, which was also revealed last month.
Codenamed R53, the fifth-generation Nissan Pathfinder has entered production in the United States using locally sourced parts. The V6 engine, for example, is manufactured with pride at the Decherd Powertrain Plant.
The new Subaru XV is now available in South Africa. The crossover sports a fresh new look and new technologies. One of the big talking points is the addition of Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive). Drivers can toggle between efficient ( I ) and sportier ( S ) driving modes.
The updated XV crossover features an updated lower grille design with added contours around the fog lamps and bumper trim elements. A choice of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels are also on offer. The XV s fresh design and 220mm of ground clearance ensure it is equally capable and at home, whether on a slippery adventure trail or a busy city street, says Subaru. An update to the colour palette means that Sunshine Orange now makes way for a new Plasma Yellow Pearl, and Horizon Blue Pearl replaces the old Quartz Blue Pearl.
