David Provan has claimed in The Scottish Sun that Rangers winger Ryan Kent may want to leave Steven Gerrard’s side, amid reported interest from Leads United.
The Celtic legend believes that Kent is the most important player for Rangers, and has said that the 24-year-old may want to go to a club in the Premier League if he wants to play for the England national football team.
The Scottish Sun reported last month Leeds are interested in signing Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window, and that the Premier League club may have to pay as much as £15 million in transfer fees for the English winger.
Rangers vice-captain Connor Goldson, left, celebrates a Kemar Roofe goal at Ibrox. RANGERS beat Celtic comfortably at Ibrox this afternoon thanks to an Alfredo Morelos goal, a Kemar Roofe double and an injury-time Jermain Defoe strike to go undefeated against their city rivals in an entire season for the first time in 21 years. The emphatic win over opponents who had Callum McGregor sent off for committing two bookable offences in the space of three minutes also kept alive their hopes of going unbeaten in a top flight campaign for the first time since 1899. The Glasgow giants, who clinched their first league title in 10 years last month and are now 23 points clear at the top of the Premiership table, need to avoid losing to Livingston away on Wednesday week and then Aberdeen at home three days later to become ‘Invincibles’.
