The Florida housing market is booming. Is a crash ahead?
The housing market’s sustained, gravity-defying bounce-back while much of the rest of the economy remains in a pandemic recession has caused some to question whether it’s headed for another bust. This time around, the booming demand is fueled by millennials coming of homebuying age egged on by record-low interest rates combined with baby boomers living longer. Contrast that to the lead-up to the Great Recession, when huge numbers of investors were trying to make quick money through rapid appreciation. More from the Tampa Bay Times.

Biomass Boiler Technology Heats Up

A humble material waste sawdust is a key to the state-of-the-art energy strategy at a doormaker’s new corporate headquarters in Denver.
Completed in January, the home and manufacturing facility of TruStile offers a roadmap for integrating biomass technology into industrial and office buildings. Among other distinctions, the property features Denver’s first biomass boiler.
The 310,000-square-foot facility was designed by Ware Malcomb and built by Ryan Cos., and will consolidate TruStile’s operations, which had been spread among four smaller buildings in Denver.

The Regency Group Inc. President Bobby Stein will remain on the JEA board of directors.
The Jacksonville City Council voted 19-0 as part of the consent agenda Feb. 9 to reappoint Stein to his first full term on the municipal water and electric utility board through February 2025.
Council President Tommy Hazouri and the five JEA labor unions nominated Stein in January for reappointment.
He is the first JEA board member nominated and reappointed under the utility’s new board selection process.
