1.) What are the Lions getting in DL Levi Onwuzurike?
Dan Raley: I’ve encountered all the great defensive linemen who have come through Husky Stadium among them Steve Emtman, a No. 1 overall draft pick and the catalyst for the national champs, plus Super Bowl champion Vita Vea, a pair of eventual Detroit Lions players in Danny Shelton and the late Reggie Rogers and now Levi Onwuzurike.
Unlike those other guys, Onwuzurike sort of snuck up on us. Oh, we knew Levi was good. After all, he came all the way from Texas to the Great Northwest to play his college football. Yet, he was sort of laid back and fun to talk to, whereas those other guys often had steam coming out of their ears.

HORNBROOK, Calif. - A Siskiyou County man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon Wednesday evening.
Deputies with the Siskiyou County Sheriff s Office were sent out Wednesday around 5:32 p.m. to a home in the Hornbrook area for a reported assault with a firearm.
The victim said that a man hit him in the face with a firearm in his home and destroyed his property. The suspect then allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle and drove off.

Washington star LB Zion Tupuola-Fetui out 6-10 months with Achilles injury

Washington linebacker Zion Tupuola-Fetui, an All-Pac-12 first-team selection in 2020, will miss six to 10 months after rupturing his Achilles, coach Jimmy Lake said Wednesday.
Tupuola-Fetui led the Huskies and the Pac-12 with seven sacks in four games last season.
The Athletic named him a second-team All-American after the season.
Tupuola-Fetui s 1.75 sacks per game last season were the most by an FBS player since the NCAA began recording individual sacks in 2000.

Anyone who follows college football recruiting knows about the ‘Blue Chip Ratio (or do they?).
Last year UW was one of the 15 teams in the country with a ‘Blue Chip Ratio of at least 50%. (I ll continue to use that terminology even though, technically speaking, 50% is a percentage and not a ratio. No sense worrying too much about semantics.)
