24 Migrants Found in Rail Car 120 Miles from Border in Texas

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents discovered 24 migrants hiding inside a grain hopper rail car near Robstown, Texas, on Monday morning. The migrants appeared to have boarded the train near Laredo, about 120 miles away.
Corpus Christi Border Patrol Station agents performing train check duties on May 10 near Robstown discovered “tell-tale signs” of human smuggling activity on one of the grain hopper railcars, according to information provided by Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials. The agents began a search of the train and found 24 migrants hiding inside the grain hopper.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended two large groups of migrants who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas over the weekend. The agents apprehended a total of 239 from nine countries.
McAllen Station Border Patrol agents working the border near Hidalgo, Texas, on Friday morning, encountered a large group of migrants who illegally crossed the border. The agents took the 132 migrants into custody and conducted immigration interviews, according to information provided by Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents found 52 migrants in stash houses during a seven-hour period last week.
Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station agents working the border near Garciasville, Texas, on April 28 detected migrant tracks indicating a group illegally crossed the border from Mexico, according to information provided by Border Patrol officials. The agents began following the tracks north from the river.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents rescued two groups of migrants from human smuggling stash houses in two separate incidents.
Rio Grande City Border Patrol agents received a call for assistance from the Escobares Police Department Sunday night regarding a suspected human smuggling stash house operation, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials. The agents teamed up with local police, armed with a search warrant, and conducted a check on the suspected stash house.
79 Migrants Found in 4 Smuggling Attempts near Border in Texas

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents interdicted four human smuggling attempts near the Mexican border in Texas. The agents apprehended 79 migrants illegally present in the United States during a 24-hour period.
Falfurrias Border Patrol Station (FLF) agents assigned to the immigration checkpoint on U.S. Highway 281 on April 26 observed a tractor-trailer approaching for inspection. The agents referred the driver to a secondary inspection area, according to information provided by Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.
