Wokingham man banned from visiting The Lexicon and Bracknell stores

The Lexicon, Bracknell town centre A WOKINGHAM man has been banned from The Lexicon and other stores in Bracknell while he awaits trial for alleged shoplifting. Mr Steven Scott, of London Road, faces a string of theft charges including stealing body spray from Lightfoots filling station and alcohol from Marks and Spencer. At a hearing at Reading Magistrates Court, Mr Scott pleaded guilty to one charge namely stealing £170 of baby formula from Boots in Bracknell on January 18, 2020. However, the 47-year-old has pleaded not guilty to four of the charges of theft after he was accused of stealing baby formula, cough mixture, alcohol and other items from Lightfoots filling station in Bracknell on three separate occasions in November 2019.

Reading man Michael Mitchell guilty of making 1,000 indecent images of children

Michael Mitchell appeared at Reading Magistrates Court When officers arrived at his address, Mitchell told them: “The items you will be interested in will be in my room”, according to prosecutor Benjamin May. After searching his property, officers found: 368 ‘category A’ images of children, the most severe and explicit type of photographs 320 ‘category B’ images of children 333 ‘category C’ images of children Six images which involved a person performing a sex act with a live or dead animal. The images were made between January 2016 and November 2019. Because he pleaded guilty Mitchell is required to notify officers at Reading Police Station he has committed a sexual offence.

Closure order for Reading house with links to criminal activity

Google Maps of Temple Place, Reading A HOUSE being repeatedly taken over by criminal activity has been partially sealed by order of a magistrates judge. The order on a house in Temple Place, Reading was granted on Wednesday, April 7, by Reading Magistrates Court under Section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Disorder Act 2014. Police applied for the order against the property following its links to criminal activity. The partial closure prevents anyone other than the specified persons listed on the order from entering the property for a period of three months. Anyone who enters the house will commit an offence and would be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment, a fine, or both.
