This is the first picture of a woman who was found dead at her home after suffering severe head injuries.
Beth Aspey, 34, was discovered in her property in Reading, Berks, on Friday by paramedics.
Today her boyfriend, 45-year-old Ben Shand, appeared in court charged with her murder.
He stood in the dock at Reading Magistrates Court this morning to make his first appearance in court.
It comes four days after an ambulance crew rushed to her property in Laud Close, Reading.

Man charged in connection to murder investigation after woman is found dead A MAN has been charged in connection to a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in Reading. Thames Valley Police were called to a property in Laud Close, Coley Park at about 4.30pm on Friday, April 30 following reports that a woman had died. Earlier today, police identified the victim as 34-year-old Beth Aspey. Police have charged a 45-year-old man as part of their murder investigation. Ben Shand of Crescent Road, Reading has been charged with one count of murder and will appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Two men have been charged with conspiracy to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal.
Chad Goodall, aged 40, of Kingfisher way in Brent, London, was arrested yesterday (28/4) and charged today (29/4), and Daniel Simpson, aged 39, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday (23/4) and charged on Saturday (24/4).
