One killed in shooting in Bristol Township
A man was fatally shot in Bristol Township on Wednesday night, according to authorities.
The Bucks County District Attorney s Office said in a news release that the man was shot while in a vehicle near the area of Edgely Road and Marion Avenue about 7:10 p.m.
Bristol Township officers responded to the area and found the driver dead inside a Chrysler 200, according to the release.
Police believe he was shot through the driver s side window.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA Authorities are investigating after a man was found shot dead inside his car in the middle of a Bucks County roadway Wednesday evening.
The Bucks County District Attorney s Office, which is investigating the shooting alongside Bristol Township police, said officials are seeking the public s help to identify the suspect and circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting.
The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. in the area of Edgely Road and Marion Avenue in Bristol Township. When police were called to the scene, they found a Chrysler 200 stopped in the northbound lane of Edgely Road with the driver dead inside.
Victim specialist unit staffed for Central Bucks police departments
The newly formed crime specialist unit the first of its kind in Bucks County is now fully staffed, according to Central Bucks Regional Police.
The department announced Wednesday in a news release that Elizabeth Leone and Karen Edwards have been named victims specialists. In their roles, which are part-time, they will guide crime victims through the criminal justice process.
They are based at the Central Bucks Regional Police station, however they will also have desks with Buckingham and Plumstead department offices.
Leone, the victim specialist supervisor, has two master degrees in criminal justice and social service, and has four years of experience with Bucks County Children and Youth, and four years of experience with Bucks County Youth.
Bucks police help hundreds of children this holiday
This holiday season, when families seem to need the most during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bucks police officers stepped up to help out.
Middletown, Plumstead and Quakertown police all hosted variations of Shop with a Cop events to help children in need this year. Additionally, Bensalem s first responders hosted a toy drive to help those in need.
For these Shop with a Cop events, officers shop with children in need and help them purchase gifts using donated funds.
In Middletown, officers helped twice as many children as last year s event, according to Officer Melissa Robison, who oversees the yearly effort.
