Bucks DA: $4 million in drugs seized
A routine traffic stop in Bedminster led authorities in Bucks County to some $4 million in drugs, according to the Bucks County District Attorney s Office.
DA Matt Weintraub said in a news conference Thursday that Christian Ochoa, 28, of Laredo, Texas, and Edith Rodriguez Cardenas, 27, of Huntington Park, California, were arrested Friday.
On Wednesday, investigators found additional drugs connected to them in Lehigh County, he said. This is a huge drug bust. The total street value of the drugs seized in both seizures is approximately $4 million or more, Weintraub said.
Both are currently in Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10% of $1 million bail. They are charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, which is a felony, as well as misdemeanor drug offenses.
