WALNUT GROVE A person was airlifted to a medical facility Tuesday morning after being extricated from a grain entrapment at Meadowland s Farmers Co-op, according to a news release from the Walnut Grove Fire Department.
According to the news release, the Walnut Grove Fire Department and Ambulance were dispatched around 10:17 a.m. Tuesday to Meadowland s Farmers Co-op at 11670 Duncan Ave. and verified a person was trapped under the grain.

WALNUT GROVE, Minn. A person trapped under grain was rescued Tuesday morning, April 6, according to a news release from the Walnut Grove Fire Department.
The accident occurred around 10:17 a.m. at Meadowland s Farmers Co-op in Walnut Grove, Minn., according to the release.
After an hour of extraction efforts, the person was freed, treated on scene and then flown by a Life Link helicopter to a medical facility in Sioux Falls, S.D.

MORTON Five juveniles were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon near Morton.
The accident was reported at 4:53 p.m. Monday on Redwood County Road 2, near Oxford Avenue, within the Lower Sioux Indian Community.
According to an accident report from the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, a 2007 Chrysler 300, driven by Everette Myron Gene Kamolz, 16, was traveling over the posted speed limit, lost control, swerved into the ditch and crashed into a tree. The report did not indicate the hometown of the driver.

MORTON, Minn. (KEYC) Five juvenile teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday near Morton, authorities say.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office says it was dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on CSAH 2 near Oxford Avenue within the Lower Sioux Indian Community at approximately 4:53 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say the vehicle was traveling over the posted speed limit when the driver lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the ditch and hitting a tree.
