A 50-year-old man has been refused bail after three people were charged with a series of break ins at Sunshine Coast car washes.
Leslie Scott Saunders, from Deception Bay, was on Thursday refused bail on eight charges of entering a premises and committing an indictable offence.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards on Thursday morning said Mr Saunders was one of three people charged after four car wash facilities were stolen from between September and December.
The alleged victim businesses were Shine Auto Wash at Caloundra, 24/7 Car Wash at Maroochydore, F1 Car and Dog Wash at Noosaville and Clean It Car Wash at Narangba.

Subscriber only A 38-year-old man will remain behind bars after sneaking into his elderly father s room and bashing him while he slept. Mark Ray Bridgeman, appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today via video link, and pleaded guilty to breaching a domestic violence order, unlawful assault of a person aged 60 years or more (DV offence) and obstructing a police officer. Police prosecutor Sergeant David Pollock told the court police were called to the Kippa-Ring address just after 2am on November 29. He said the victim, a 74-year-old man, had managed to phone triple-0 during the brutal assault.
