On Wednesday, April 7, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a residence on the Algonquin’s of Pikwakanagan First Nation at Golden Lake.
Police believe the residence to have been entered sometime between April 5 and April 7. A television, blue barrels and a gas can were reported stolen. The OPP Forensic Identification Service attended the scene to assist.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Killaloe OPP detachment at 613-757-2600 or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or at www.valleytips.ca. UOV OPP’s Easter long weekend Seatbelt Campaign wraps up
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recently wrapped up its Easter long weekend spring seat belt campaign which ran April 2-5. During the course of the campaign officers conducted targeted enforcement looking for motorists who were not obeying seatbelt laws. As a result Upper Ottawa Valley OPP officers laid 13 seatbelt charges during the long weekend.

On April 3, at approximately 3 p.m. officers responded to a traffic complaint in the Town of Petawawa. It was reported that a young child, later found to be five years old, was sitting on the lap of an adult and steering a vehicle that was being driven on the street.
