PETAWAWA – Charges have been laid in two separate collisions on Petawawa Boulevard this week.
On March 29, at approximately 11 a.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Petawawa Boulevard in the Town of Petawawa. Police report an eastbound passenger car and westbound pick-up truck collided when one of the vehicles was turning into a business.

The 26-year-old driver of the passenger car, from Petawawa, was transported to hospital by County of Renfrew Paramedics with minor injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 66-year-old from Petawawa, was not injured. The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles.

Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting good news for residents of Renfrew County and District (RCD) in the fight against COVID-19 as residents of long-term care homes have been vaccinated.
To date, RCDHU in collaboration with partners have successfully completed COVID-19 vaccination clinics in all 10 LTC homes and provided first vaccinations to 908 people, according to a release issued Tuesday afternoon.
