Randall County to start giving COVID-19 vaccines to inmates in jail AGN Media Officials with the Randall County Sheriff s Office announced Tuesday the county s jail has acquired a sufficient number of Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations to make the first inoculation available to individuals in custody . while ensuring a seamless process for inmates to receive the second dose in the event they are released from custody before they are eligible for the booster. According to a news release, the county received these doses through a partnership with Amarillo Public Health. Qualified medical staff at the jail will administer the vaccine to 137 inmates who stated they would like to receive the vaccine.
