After being closed through all of the pandemic, the Grand Rapids Children s Museum is finally reopening in a few weeks. Just in time to add to your list of summer activities to do with the kids.
GRCM announced they ll be open again to the general public on June 25th with reservations for tickets beginning June 15. Members get first dibs, though. The museum will be open on the 22nd for members and reservations starting the 14th. In addition, Tuesday s will be reserved for members only. A reservation is required for
all guests.
The museum say they ve enhanced their safety and cleaning protocols and capacity will be limited. All staff and guests will be wearing masks, too. Unfortunately, the museum s high-touch areas such as Imagination Laboratory and the water and sand stations have been limited. But there s a new exhibit for kids to enjoy like The Spin Zone, the newly-designed bubble tower, and the new Purple Cow ice cream shop added to the Little Grand Rapids exhibit.

UPDATE: The Grand Rapids City Commission has approved extending the initial pilot through April 30 at no cost to the city.
GRAND RAPIDS, MI Grand Rapids’ experiment with driverless shuttles might continue into 2022 with new features, including on-demand pick-ups.
Grand Rapids officials said Tuesday, Jan. 26, that Ann Arbor-based May Mobility is developing a proposal to continue its autonomous shuttle pilot with the city for a second year.
