Local McDonald s owners in the Tennessee Valley gave back in a major way to help sick children in need on Tuesday. The Golden Arches on Tuesday donated more than $6,600 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Alabama. A portion of their sales is from a signature drink sold from February and March. Leaders say it was tough to collect donations during the pandemic, but they were still able to meet the need. Yes it was a very hard year for fundraising, but we were still able to continue and it was through funding like this, through the support of our mission partner like McDonald s, that we re able to keep our doors open, said Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama, Kathy Moore.
