CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Corpus Christi got a big boost from Cheniere Energy on Thursday as
the company s employees participated in an all-virtual race by walking, running, and biking to raise money for the charity.
Employees for the energy company were able to raise $10,000 to help RMHC continue their work in the Corpus Christi area.
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego launched this year’s 2021 Virtual Red Shoe Day fundraising campaign by honoring how far 6-year-old Owen Abrams has come, marking May 6 as Celebrate Owen Day.
Fundraisers hope to meet a goal of $6,000, which GEICO and the Witte Family Charitable Trust has vowed to match 100%.
The event is the Ronald McDonald House’s largest community-driven fundraiser.
For more than 40 years, the 56-room Ronald McDonald House has provided a “home away from home” for families caring for a critically ill or injured child residing at a local hospital.
On average, more than 15,000 family members make use of the House’s services.

Judy Burns didn t plan to move back to her home of Pensacola some 20 years ago after building a life and career in California, but when her son was diagnosed with autism in 1998, plans changed.
And because of that, all of these years later, Pensacola has become a better place for families who have children with special needs and medical disabilities, thanks to Burns patience, kindness, exuberance and dedication to her field.
Burns retired at the end of April following 18 years of service, split between Autism Pensacola and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, but not before she left an indelible impact on the people she helped and worked alongside.
