A Napier man has rounded up his waka ama teammates for this year s Ronald McDonald House Charities House to House challenge.
Murray Linnell and his five teammates will be paddling 210km in March for the House to House Challenge.
Linnell said his personal experience with RMHC, along with the support they give to families, is why he decided to take up the task.

Prisma Health presented its annual report to the organization that oversees the system s lease and a group of Greenville lawmakers Friday afternoon.
During the annual review of the system by Greenville Health Authority the organization left behind when Prisma Health, formerly the Greenville Health System, transitioned into a private nonprofit organization a number of topics were brought up including access to care in the north Greenville area.
Prisma reported a quantifiable community benefit of over $527 million an increase of over $62 million from the previous year and touted its pandemic response, which includes providing personal protective equipment and ventilators to nearly 100 healthcare entities, providing 15% of testing in the state, treating a third of the state s hospitalized COVID-19 patients and completing over 200,000 vaccinations to date.

From this February, Aussies can register for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) inaugural national Dance for Sick Kids fundraiser.
The week-long dance challenge will take place from May 15 to 21, raising money for seriously ill and injured children and their families across the country.
By pledging to dance between 30 and 120 minutes per day for one week, all funds raised will go back to those in need.
You can join local teenager Katie Everett as she prepares to raise funds for the charity that supported her family through a three month stay at Ronald McDonald House in Hobart after she was born prematurely at 26 weeks. Katie’s goal of fundraising $320 will help to cover the cost of two nights for one family to stay at Ronald McDonald House.

Chef Vlad Victor Bora classically trained in French cuisine, has cooked in corporate settings, on a cruise ship and in hotels. But Bora, who was born in Romania, says his newest gig as executive chef at the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis is more like Food Network’s “Chopped,” which requires contestants to cook a meal in 30 minutes using unexpected ingredients.
“Imagine that on steroids,” said Bora, 38, who came to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana in December. “That’s what cooking in the not-for-profit world looks like.”
