We crossed the bridge into Miamisburg and there it was: Sitting right at the end of the bridge was the very first hamburger restaurant I had ever seen.
It must have been in the early 1960s. Our entire family loaded into our old Chevy Belair and rode a little over five miles to “The Burg.”
There was a significant rivalry between the kids from Germantown and the kids from Miamisburg. Rarely did we have anything nice to say about “The Burg.”
It changed that day. From that day on, we loved going to “The Burg” for a 15-cent burger.

Car chase driver’s case moves to common pleas court, bond stays at $100K
WILMINGTON A Dayton man accused of leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit waived his preliminary hearing.
Clinton County Municipal Court Judge Mike Daugherty agreed Thursday to move the case involving Isaiah Youngblood, 22, to Clinton County Common Pleas Court.
Youngblood, currently incarcerated in the Clinton County Jail, faces two felony charges felony 2 kidnapping and felony 3 failure to comply after a series of indicents on Jan. 13.
Police said Youngblood was driving a Mercedes-Benz, reportedly stolen from Dayton, with four juveniles in it, reaching speeds of 120 mph between Sabina and Wilmington, and up to 70 mph on Rombach Avenue in Wilmington.

Suspect Isaiah Youngblood was apprehended on Midway Drive in Wilmington after allegedly fleeing the stolen car from where it stopped on South South Street.
A Dayton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading law enforcement officers on a vehicle chase that reached speeds over 120 mph while he had four juveniles riding with him.
At just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Wilmington police received a report that the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Sabina police were in pursuit of a vehicle driving toward the city from Sabina at speeds over 120 mph.
