Alamance County feels impacts of Colonial Pipeline gas shortage

Alamance County residents are finding several gas stations out of fuel this week as much of the East Coast experiences a gas shortage due to the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline. The pipeline, which runs from Texas to New York, was the victim of a cybersecurity attack over the weekend. As a precaution, the pipeline was shut down. According to AAA, the pipeline provides about 45 percent of the East Coast’s fuel supply. Colonial Pipeline released a statement Monday stating that Line 4 which runs from Greensboro to Maryland was operating under manual control while supplies last. A follow-up statement Tuesday night said the company had delivered about 41 million gallons to various delivery points along the pipeline system including Charlotte and Greensboro. More deliveries are planned once the pipeline is operational.

BREAKING: Three due in court following drugs and cash seizures in Limerick Reporter:   ); THREE men who were arrested following a number of significant drugs seizure in Limerick city have been charged by investigating gardai. During an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs, gardaí from the divisional Drugs Unit stopped two cars, one in Corbally and the second in Thomandgate, at around 6.30pm on Monday. Both cars were searched resulting the seizure of suspected cannabis her with an estimated value of €40,000. The two drivers, men aged in their 40s and 50s, were the arrested and brought to Henry Street and Roxboro Road garda stations for questioning.
